"Headlights" is the first track in Cheri Indigo's first studio EP, "Night=Day". The Synthwave-pop track was written with producer Evanturetime. The retro track features the use of head-bopping four-on-the-floor beats, pulsating basslines and 90s inspired synth tones. The lyrics talk about the emptiness that comes with the night and the hope that one finds through community. The repeated chorus line "Headlights in the night" sets an urban context which is also emulated in later tracks in the EP.
