"Where the Heart Will Stay" was written and produced by Homegrown Singaporean band Oakë (Shea Ng, Irwin Zephyr Tan, Daniel Wong, Joel Hong). The song tells the story of Singapore's past, present and future, using nostalgic tunes and lyrics reminiscent of our yesteryears.

Written in the spirit of National Day and at a time of national crisis, "Where the Heart Will Stay" was produced with the desire to evoke sentiments of hope and solidarity, by reminding fellow Singaporeans of their roots and what it means to be Singaporean.
